IFBB organises inaugural World Tour Seminar in Bangkok

International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) today organised the IFBB World Tour Seminar for some 100 judges and coaches from 20 Asian countries at Twin Tower Hotel, Bangkok. Judging, new technical and computerised judging systems are the main highlights of the seminar.

According to Mr Kanokphand Chulakasem, Governor of Sports Authority of Thailand who presided over the opening ceremony, "I am pleased that the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) has chosen Thailand to organise the seminar for bodybuilding judges and coaches from 20 countries around Asia. I am confident that all the judges and coaches attending the 2-day-seminar will be able to refresh themselves about bodybuilding rules and regulations, as well as learn new techniques and of course remember Thailand for the hospitality."

Datuk Paul Chua, Executive Assistant to the President & Vice President for Asia of the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB), said "This is the 1st time in the world on international level we organise the IFBB World Tour seminar. There are some 100 participants from 20 countries participate this special event. We have recognised guest speakers, including Mr Pawel Filleborn, Vice President of Poland European Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, and Mr Tony Blinn, Secretary to the IFBB Technical Committee of International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness talked about the interesting bodybuilding techniques and rules. We are confident that all participants will be able to understand judging system, as well as technical systems, final points on judging and the latest systems, which all will be computerised allowing the public to see on the screen. This will further emphasise how transparent the bodybuilding competition is. In fact, this was used first time during the Doha Games.

"On behalf of the IFBB, we are confident that all participants will be able to relay the messages they learn during the seminar to their respective people and teams," he added.

Mr Pakpong Kriangsak, President of Thai Bodybuilding Association, "We are pleased to welcome 100 bodybuilding judges and coaches from 20 different countries in Asia to the Land of Smiles. Bodybuilding has been well-regonised around the world and the popularity of bodybuilding in Thailand has also increased especially when Thai bodybuilding athlete has won twice the World Bodybuilding Championship. We would like to thank all parties for their support to lead Thai bodybuilding athletes to the international level."
