Asian Beach Games (2008)

The first edition of the Asian Beach Games takes place in Bali, Indonesia. It is a multi-sport event held every two years among athletes representing countries from Asia. The Games are composed of 19 sports which have a strong television appeal such as windsurfing, swimming, beach volleyball, dragon boat racing and bodybuilding.
The complete results are listed below. Sitthi wins gold in the 80kg class, Somkid and Somsri silver in the 65kg and 70kg, respectively. Indonesia's Asrelawandi and Syafrizaldy wooed the enthusiastic home crowd with golds in the 60kg and 75kg categories.
